 Adopting a child is a joyous occasion, but it can bring unique financial challenges. You can be reimbursed for up to $3,500 for qualified expenses per adoption, with a $7,000 calendar-year maximum.

The Northrop Grumman Adoption Assistance Program reimburses eligible employees up to $3,500 for qualified expenses for one adoption, with a $7,000 calendar-year maximum. Back-up Care Advantage offers employees a safety net for those days when regular care arrangements fall through. Back-up care supplements these arrangements and is a comforting emergency alternative when you need it the most.

Northrop Grumman has partnered with College Coach, an organization with expertise in assisting employees and their families through important educational challenges. This benefit is provided at no cost to Northrop Grumman employees and their families.

College Coach provides access to experts who have worked at top colleges and can give you the guidance needed to help you prepare for college, beginning in elementary school. Take advantage of live events, access to a virtual learning center, personalized assistance through a help desk and one-on-one counseling.

Additionally, College Coach provides excellent guidance for student loan repayment strategies through webinars and 1:1 counseling with experts.

The Northrop Grumman Scholarship for Employees Children (managed by Scholarship America) provides up to 130 scholarships of $2,000 each annually to the sons and daughters of employees. Scholarship America processes the awards.

The Northrop Grumman National Merit Scholarship Program and Special Scholarships offers 55 awards of $2,000 per year for up to four years to the sons and daughters of employees. National Merit Scholarship Corporation conducts the annual application process.

Dependent children of full time Northrop Grumman employees, or part time employees who work 20 or more hours a week, can compete for these scholarships.

One of the most difficult situations we may face in our lives and careers is coping with the loss of someone close to us – a parent, spouse, child, other family member or co-worker. The Northrop Grumman paid parental leave policy offers employees two weeks (up to 80 hours) of paid time off within the first twelve months following the birth of a child or placement of a child through adoption. Paid parental leave runs concurrently with FMLA job protected time away from work, but it is in addition to time away from work being paid through disability or state provided paid leave.
