If you are divorced or your marriage is annulled, you must drop coverage for your ex-spouse and his/her child(ren) from your benefits. You may also start coverage for yourself and your dependents if you or your eligible dependent children have lost coverage as a result of a divorce or annulment.
You have 31 days from the date of the event to make these changes. If you make this change 31 days after the event, you can only drop coverage for your ex-spouse and stepchildren. You cannot make any other benefit changes until annual enrollment.
Your eligible dependent(s) previously covered by Northrop Grumman programs and affected by the divorce can continue benefit coverage under COBRA.
